The purpose of a mentor is to help grow a person and become the best version of self. This may involve helping him/her achieve personal or career goals, introducing him/her to new ways of thinking, challenging your limiting assumptions, sharing valuable life lessons, and much more.

>>>There are three types of mentoring.
Traditional One-on-one Mentoring
A mentee and mentor are matched, either through a program or on their own.
Distance Mentoring.
A mentoring relationship in which the two parties (or group) are in different locations.
Group Mentoring.
A single mentor is matched with a cohort of mentees.
What does it mean to mentor someone?
Mentoring is a process through which an individual offers professional expertise as well as support to a less experienced colleague. A mentor serves as a teacher, counselor, and advocate to a protégée. Mentoring results in a mutually beneficial professional relationship over time.
